Deluxe Session ~ Lulu the Dogue de Bordeaux cross in Brisbane
I have an awesome new location for showing off our wonderful Jacaranda trees – if you missed the post with all the photos from my “unofficial” session with my own dogs, you can check that out here. This was my first official session of the year here – meet Lulu! Only 5 months old, Lulu is a Dogue de Bordeaux cross and is Briana’s pride and joy. Her family has always had Mastiffs and when she saw Lulu’s litter she knew instantly Lulu was the one for her.
I am so not a girly girl but when Briana got out of the car and I saw her beautiful white dress, I was so excited to start shooting!
During the session, Lulu had what might be the best afternoon yet in her short life – and the most challenging! With lots of love and encouragement, Briana managed to coax Lulu into crossing a small creek so we could get some pretty pebbly portraits.
To dry off, we headed to a big grassy area and let Lulu run off some steam for a while. Not that it took long. In true Mastiff style, she was done with running pretty quickly.
Lulu was totally on board when it came to working for treats, so we dived into some serious modelling business.
The sun was slowly sinking and with that, the light was getting warmer and warmer. I found a nice little spot to take advantage of that late afternoon glow.
While Briana and Lulu had some more sweet moments together.
With the sun nearly gone, we headed to the beautiful Jacaranda trees and played amongst the purple Jacaranda flowers.
This would have to be my favourite shot of the session. I just love Lulu here, adrift in a sea of Jacaranda bokeh!
Briana ordered a gorgeous album and I shared a flip through of it on Facebook.
This lovely Framed Triple wall art was custom designed with three of Briana's favourite images. Now she'll be able to enjoy her images every single day!
