Nala the Doberman at the Beach

Has anyone else noticed the crazy glow in the sky after sunset over the last few weeks?

On Friday, after a week of weather-watching to make sure we ended up with clear skies, I met up with Kate and her special lady Nala at the beach.

Nala is definitely more of an action superstar than a cover model, but along with all the obligatory action shots of her chasing her ball through the waves and over logs, we also ended up with some lovely images of Kate and Nala together, and some rather stately portraits of Nala striking a pose in true Doberman fashion!

And then right at the end of the session - 30 minutes AFTER sunset - this magic happened! The glow in the sky is due to the ash cloud from the volcano in Tonga back in January, creating this amazing post-sunset glow.
