For as long as I’ve been into photography (close to 15 years now) I’ve always had some type of Lowepro camera bag to haul around and protect my gear. My current day-to-day camera backpack is the Lowepro ProTactic 450AW – I love it as it’s super comfy to wear and practical for the sort of outdoors shooting I do.
Read MoreYou’re thinking about booking a session and getting some awesome photos of the furry love of your life. The only thing is, you’re pretty sure they’re not going to behave themselves at the photo session, unlike all the dogs you see on this website – they must be perfectly behaved, right?

I must admit I fell in love with the Australian Shepherd breed after photographing a few of them – I love their energy and sense of fun and adventure – their trainability and just how gorgeous they are in general!
Read MoreLet’s get this out of the way first – isn’t Dynamo just the perfect name for an active Dalmatian? I love it! It comes from the Greek word for “power” and is associated with activity and energy – which this guy certainly had a great deal of as you’ll discover later on.

Read MoreYears ago I received a golden nugget of advice – when drawing something at random – you should always choose the one that “sticks to your fingers”. The original advice was actually in relation to rune stones, but whenever I need to draw a winner out of a bunch of entries, I always have this in the back of my mind.

Read MoreI was lucky enough to be invited along to have a stall at the RSPCA Million Paws Walk in Samford again this year, after attending for the first time in 2014. I live about 12 minutes away from Samford, it’s great to have one of these walks so close by where I can connect with locals!

Read MoreFull of beans and with confidence to spare, Yagmur high-stepped towards the water. As his paws came into contact with the soft, waterlogged sand and it gave away slightly underfoot, I could see the change in his bearing as his forward movement wavered slightly.
Read MoreI’ve been itching to share my new Momento Books for a couple of months now but only managed to get around to photographing my sample today. Read MoreAs a pet photographer, most of my client bookings are from dog owners. I am not quite sure why this is, as I know there are many devoted cat owners out there! Perhaps people aren’t sure what’s possible when photographing cats? Perhaps they think they’re too hard to work with?
Read MoreYou may remember the rather epic shoot I had with a pack of four stunning Siberian Huskies – Amber, Alaska, Dakoda and Kiah. Just a few weeks after our shoot in the pine forest, I received the news that beautiful Kiah had unexpectedly passed away after returning from a trip down to the snow. As the much loved original member of the pack, I know that she must have left a huge hole in the household.
