Deluxe Session ~ JayJay & Milo the Border Collies at the Gold Coast

I’d known the owner of JayJay for a number of years, so when he contacted me to book a session with his and his sister’s Border Collies, I was delighted! JayJay and Milo are brothers from the same litter and the best of friends, both living on the Gold Coast, and just about to turn four years old.

Driving down from Brisbane for the session, I was a bit concerned about the weather. Not cloud or rain, but very very hot! Luckily, it cooled down a little as I approached the Gold Coast but if you see lots of big tongues hanging out in these photos, that’s the reason!

We met at the family home for a few photos first, then headed to the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens in Benowa. There’s a great variety of places to shoot there, from big old trees to extensive open areas, and manicured gardens to more natural freeform gardens and wildflowers.

It was hot, but certainly worth it as we managed to get some really lovely late afternoon sunshine at this gorgeous spot.
