Following on from my personal wrap-up of 2015 – here’s some of my favourite shots taken at client shoots and mentoring sessions from 2015. For aspiring pet photographers who like to see lens and exposure specs, I’ve included them on all photos for you. All photos were taken with my Canon 1D-x camera body and all use 100% natural light.
Read MoreI spent a lovely afternoon at the beach with Marjorie and Malcolm and their two Miniature Schnauzers, Heidi and Millie. We nearly postponed the session due to the cloud hanging around but in the end went ahead anyway and were rewarded with a beautiful sunset!
Read MoreStaffies would have to be one of the most popular breeds in Australia, so as you’d expect I’ve photographed quite a few of them. Bella would have to be one of the most active though. This girl was ALL about her ball – or whatever toy you have on hand to throw for her, including her colour-coordinated purple Kong!
Read MoreThis one has been a long time in the planning with lots of re-scheduling due to weather, but we finally got it together and Mooky had his Bare Bones session at the Spit on the Gold Coast. As often happens after rescheduling numerous times due to weather, we were treated to absolutely perfect weather on the day, almost as a reward for our patience!
Read MoreI’d known the owner of JayJay for a number of years, so when he contacted me to book a session with his and his sister’s Border Collies, I was delighted! JayJay and Milo are brothers from the same litter and the best of friends, both living on the Gold Coast, and just about to turn four years old.
Read MoreJust before Christmas in 2013, I had the pleasure of hanging out with the lovely Alyssa and her two pups at her beautiful Gold Coast hinterland home. I had the best time with lots of laughs! I swear that dogs have a sense of humour, and Yogi the Golden Retriever is quite the comedian!
Read MoreGolden Retrievers rank very highly on my list of favourite breeds. They always have the loveliest temperaments, with that perfect mix of fun, goofy and when they get older; chilled and wise. At eight months old on the day of our shoot, Bam Bam was at that awkward stage between puppy and adult – just starting to look like an adult but still with a lot of puppy silliness!
Read MorePizzey Park in Miami is somewhere I’ve been many times with my own dogs when I lived on the Gold Coast. There’s the most beautiful pine forest, a big lake and a little sandy beach, along with lots of other pretty nooks and crannies for photographing dogs.
Read MoreAt the time of our shoot back in August 2013, Logan the German Shepherd cross was just six months old. Based on how BIG his legs and paws were at that age, I predicted he was going to be a big boy. Having seen him since I certainly wasn’t wrong!
