Deluxe Session ~ Bella the Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Staffies would have to be one of the most popular breeds in Australia, so as you’d expect I’ve photographed quite a few of them. Bella would have to be one of the most active though. This girl was ALL about her ball – or whatever toy you have on hand to throw for her, including her colour-coordinated purple Kong!
Starting off as her daughter Lauren’s dog when she was living at home, Bella the 6 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier eventually ended up living full time with Frances when Lauren moved out and was working full time. Bella was much happier back at home with “grandma” – who ended up becoming “mum” in the long run.
At our session in one of my favourite parks on the Gold Coast, Bella would have been happy to show off her ball chasing skills all afternoon – she was seriously intense! Check out that focus!
These expressions? All ball related. Just waiting, waiting…
Fortunately, we somehow convinced Bella to chill for a few seconds at a time for some pretty sunshiney portraits and tender moment shots with her favourite person in the world, her mum Frances.
After sufficiently wearing her out (and hiding all the toys) we even got a nice relaxed pose from her.
When the Kong came back out though, it was game on!
I think Bella is desperately trying to convince her mum here that it’s time to play again…
Guess who won that particular argument?
We were blessed with a lovely sunset to finish off the session.
Here’s what Frances had to say about her experience:
Frances ordered a gorgeous canvas wall art collection which takes pride of place in her lounge room and is always a talking point for visitors!
